SIX MONTH SMILES

Straight Teeth. Less Time. Clear Braces for Adults.

Are you one of the millions of adults in need of adult braces who are unhappy, self conscious or even embarrassed of your smile?

Many patients who go for Six Month Smiles® consultations had previously been told that their only option was to wear braces for 2 years or get veneers. Often this is not the case and the smile can be fixed in a reasonable period of time.

A revolutionary combination of proven orthodontic techniques, modern materials, and innovative thought – Six Month Smiles® utilises specialised discreet clear braces to gently straighten and align teeth in an average time of just six months.

Six Month Smiles® braces usually involve treating the front teeth only and the goal is to give the patient a great smile within a relatively short timeframe and without the need to wear metal train tracks. We do not try to change the bite to any significant degree and the results we aim for are cosmetic only. If your goal is to change your bite or move a lot of the back teeth you may still need to get conventional braces which may take longer.

Take the first step towards improving your smile, your confidence and your life. Contact Crescent Dental today on 061 484844.

TEETH WHITENING

Teeth whitening is the easiest, most popular and most cost effective way of improving the appearance of your smile. The effect is achieved by lightening the natural colour of teeth without removing or damaging the surface. At Crescent Dental we offer 2 options for achieving your desired shade of whiteness:

1. HOME WHITENING

Home Whitening is generally suitable where a patient is happy to achieve a more gradual whitening effect. Or if you have had In-Surgery teeth whitening, home whitening is a good way to ensure your whiter teeth are maintained over time.

At your Home Whitening appointment, the dentist with take impressions of your teeth, from which a study model is made. This is sent to our lab where specially moulded trays tray (or ‘pockets’) are made which will fit your teeth perfectly.  Approximately 3 days after your initial appointment these will be ready and will be given to you along with your home whitening kit which also includes special teeth whitening solution. This solution is added to the tray ensuring that it only comes into contact with the required surfaces and that no damage is done to the soft gums. You can wear the tray while asleep or for short periods during the day or at night with results normally seen over 1-2 weeks.

2. IN-SURGERY & HOME WHITENING

For people who are looking for an immediate result we also offer In-Surgery laser teeth whitening, whereby we can significantly whiten teeth in a one-hour visit, brightening your teeth to their optimum natural shade. Our laser teeth whitening system includes variable intensity so each treatment can be customised to maximise patient comfort. The system also includes desensitisers to help minimise sensitivity and protect your enamel. Your lips and gums are covered and a gel is applied to your teeth. A special LED light is positioned over your teeth to activate the gel, which gently penetrates your teeth, breaking up stains and discolouration.

Please note that we offer In-Surgery whitening only in combination with Home Whitening. This ensures that you can get an immediate result & also that results can be maintained over time.

All whitening procedures are carried out by our experienced staff so the procedure is safe, effective and clinically proven.

PORCELAIN VENEERS

Where front teeth are either fractured or discoloured porcelain veneers can be considered. Veneers are thin, tooth shaped and tooth coloured porcelain layers which can be used to cover or repair front teeth.

Veneers are used to make teeth look natural and straight by improving their colour, shape and position. They are particularly effective when teeth are discoloured, broken, chipped or crooked. Each veneer is individually made for you to fit perfectly over the surface of your existing teeth. They perfectly match the colour, appearance and translucence of your natural teeth, restoring, and often enhancing your appearance.
